The Beauty of Imperfection

Like the irregularities in shape and color evidenced in these fine Tahitian “circlet” pearls, we are reminded of Wabi Sabi – the Japanese tradition which embraces the beauty of things that are naturally imperfect, impermanent or seemingly incomplete, the antithesis of our classical western notion of beauty as something perfect, enduring and monumental.
