The ‘70s will be one of the most importance influences in business apparel this winter.
Once again, futuristic vision takes center stage. Rebelliousness and the desire to break rules continues. The era’s modernist attitude is often underestimated. There was an insatiable focus on moving forward fueled by a wealth of intuitive vision and technological breakthroughs. A desire to redefine the design landscape was part of the quest for new cultural identity.
The dress shirt, flared pants, and both midi and maxi lengths will define hemlines. Wooly fur and sheepskin waistcoats will contribute a bohemian influence augmented by reflective finishes and other glittering effects. Reptile skin. A convergence of styles, inspiration and materials. The attitude is both creative and uninhibited.
Light effects delavè. Garnet, cognac and antique gold reflect a rich earthy palette but will be joined by rich jewel tones such sapphire blue and dark emerald green. Woven Scottish knit sweaters.
